love like you care / (website) updates

I added a shop section for prints—I get asked about prints very rarely, but now if you want a random photo that I took on your wall, you can obtain one!

Other life updates:

  • Possible injury to my ACL—getting an MRI soon

  • Knee injury means I won’t be able to climb Half Dome this year, which I’m pretty bummed about

  • Attending the premiere of The Farewell on Wednesday with some lovely high school pals

  • Going on a multi-day camping trip up Highway 1 to San Francisco next week, which makes me less bummed about not being able to do Half Dome

  • Visiting Boston the first week of August for my brother’s White Coat Ceremony

  • Selling my Fujifilm X-Pro 2 kit - hit me up if you’re interested

Resources/questions I have found interesting recently:

  • https://ourworldindata.org/plastic-pollution — Detailed look into the global plastic problem. I can’t even really wrap my head around some of these numbers but I’m sure this will be a resource I reference in the future. This website has a lot of interesting infographics in a wide range of sectors. Highly recommend checking it out for whatever topics you’re interested in (and maybe fora topic you know nothing about!)

  • What defines nature? — I’ve been grappling with this one for a while… still don’t have a good answer, but curious about boundaries between the “natural world”, human influence, and how those boundaries are defined/how those definitions can change.

  • What is my ideal balance of action and reflection? — I get burnt out when I try to do too much without time to process what’s happening to me periodically, but I also fall easily into a pattern of consumption and learning without taking action. I recently started tracking my time where I reflect/consume (ie. reading, learning, thinking, etc) vs action/engage (writing, practicing, interacting with other people, planning future action, etc). I think about this question all the time which means I’ve probably written about this before but I’m still trying to figure it out.

What are some questions you have found interesting lately?
