cherry wine

life updates

  • Covered Hozier’s “Cherry Wine” with my dear friend, embedded above

  • Visited Salvation Mountain / Slab City on the way to the Salton Sea this past weekend. Took some shots on the Olympus XA4 and pretty excited to see how those come out

  • Went to Big Bear for some more snowboarding a few weekends ago — still can’t consistently toeside carve but working on it

  • Currently in a rabbit hole of learning about water systems and issues. Reading Water 4.0: The Past, Present, and Future of the World's Most Vital Resource by David Sedlak, and just finished The Poisoned City: Flint’s Water and the American Urban Tragedy by Anna Clark. I’m curious about water because it’s a life-critical resource that is going to be increasingly limited in supply as sources continue to get polluted and climate change shifts availability. I want to understand how governments regulate water and explore potential problem areas that can be tackled to ensure more protected and equitable use of freshwater.

  • Headed up to Seattle this weekend—it’s always a nostalgia trip to return to the city I partially grew up in and see how things have changed. The weather is looking pretty standard Seattle winter (rain) but looking forward to food exploration, museums, memories, and spending time with some of my favorite people.

  • Planning a 11 day trip to Montana and Wyoming in June
