we’re back?

It’s been more than a year and a half since I last wrote in April 2023. I really thought my website would be dead by now — I let the domain run out (hence the new domain!), I slowly deleted content, I got a Notion account where I thought I would end up hosting my professional portfolio… but here we are again. I missed my little corner on the internet, and I want to give it another go — a safe place to share my thoughts, images, projects, and general life updates. So some quick updates since April 2023?

  • Got engaged in May 2023 while on vacation in Taiwan!

  • Realized I have severe allergies to Japanese mountain yams

  • Kinda learned how to ollie

  • Did an engagement photoshoot

  • Became obsessed with my brother’s corgi, Otis (and also now really want a dog)

  • Were gifted banana duck plushies (named Bucky and Lucky) that guest-starred at our wedding

  • Had an intense stint of being extremely into mechanical keyboards which is luckily over now. But still no know way too much about them.

  • Visited the east coast / Ireland / Germany for my cousin’s wedding! Realized London food is terrible.

  • Went on a short cruise to Mexico with my grandma, aunt, and mom. Convinced my mom to go to the gym with me and now she has a personal trainer.

  • Got COVID in January

  • Sewed a trail running pack for distance skates, a duffle bag, a custom skateboard backpack, and 27 waist packs for our wedding.

  • Did a best friend roadtrip to Sedona as a “bachelorette” trip

  • Got pretty good at making soondubu

  • Max learned how to braid my hair for our wedding

  • Got married in May 2024! We did a backyard wedding and it was tiny and lovely.

  • Started going to skate parks and learning how to ride the bowl!

  • Went to my first WNBA game / followed my first WNBA season in many years.

  • Threw a beach party in July to celebrate our wedding with local friends. We took zero pictures.

  • Learned that Max is no longer severely allergic to hypoallergenic dogs and we met the cutest bichon puppies in the world.

  • Delivered a giant Pikachu to our niece and visited the east coast in September. I skated a bit in NYC but was not good enough to ride any of the parks. Saw NIKI live in Central Park. And attended my first baby shower for a close friend!

  • Bought my dream 35mm film camera

  • Went on our honeymoon to the Canadian Rockies! It was such a lovely time with my love but then I got food poisoned at the end.

  • Just got back from our annual Friendsgiving trip to Idyllwild, which is one of my favorite annual traditions.

Will be revisiting some of these updates in a bit!
